In 2025 (乙巳年 — Wood Snake), the annual center star is Star 2 (Black Illness Star, 二黑巨門). The dominant theme this year is illness, health problems, misfortune. Key caution: the Five Yellow falls in the NE — apply metal cures immediately. Tai Sui resides in the S; avoid disturbing this sector with renovations. Annual Afflictions
These four afflictions govern the full solar year (4 Feb 2025 – 3 Feb 2026).
Tai Sui (太歲, Grand Duke Jupiter) resides in the S in 2025 at 142.5°–172.5°. This is a sector of cosmic authority — show respect by not disturbing it.
✦ Remedy: Place a Tai Sui plaque (太歲符) or a pair of Pi Xiu (貔貅) facing the Tai Sui direction. Sit or work facing Tai Sui (do not have it behind you).
✗ Avoid: Major renovations, drilling, or digging in the S sector. Avoid loud, disruptive activity here throughout 2025.
Sui Po (歲破, Year Breaker) directly opposes Tai Sui in the N in 2025. It carries unstable, broken energy that can cause setbacks and loss.
✦ Remedy: Keep this sector quiet and undisturbed. Avoid major activity or placing important functions here.
✗ Avoid: Renovations, drilling, or digging in the N throughout 2025.
Three Killings (三煞, Sān Shā) afflict the East group — NE, E, SE — in 2025. It brings risk of loss, injury, and lawsuits if disturbed.
✦ Remedy: Face into the Three Killings — never sit with your back to this group. Place three Chi Lin (麒麟), Pi Xiu, or three-legged toads in the affected sectors.
✗ Avoid: Renovations, digging, or major disturbance in the NE, E, SE sectors. Never position yourself with the East at your back.
Five Yellow (五黃, Wu Huang) lands in the NE in 2025. This is the most dangerous annual affliction — serious illness, accidents, and major misfortune follow disturbance.
✦ Remedy: Install a 6-rod hollow metal windchime immediately. Add a brass salt-water cure for extra protection. If the main door or master bedroom falls here, place metal cures at the entrance and inside.
✗ Avoid: All fire energy, candles, red or orange décor in the NE. Absolutely no renovations, drilling, hammering, or digging. Check quarterly and replace salt-water cure as needed.

Star 6 (六白武曲) brings authority, mentor luck, and helpful benefactors (貴人). It is excellent for career progression, legal matters, and gaining recognition from people in positions of power.

Star 8 (八白左輔) is the reigning prosperity star of Period 8 (2004–2023) and still carries strong positive wealth energy well into Period 9. It brings financial gain, good fortune, and auspicious opportunities.
