Privacy Policy

Yixin Academy (一心命理学院) and its operator, Straits Intelligence Pte. Ltd. ("we", "us"), are committed to protecting your personal data in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). This policy explains what we collect through learnwithyixin.com, why, who helps us process it, and the choices you have.

What We Collect

• Account details — your name, email address and password (stored only as a one-way hash), your language setting, and your membership status.
• Birth details — date, time and gender, which you give us to calculate a BaZi chart. This includes charts you request by email without an account, and charts you save for other people (see "Charts You Save for Others" below).
• Payments — handled by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and your subscription status; your card details go to Stripe and are never stored on our servers.
• Messages — if you contact us by email or WhatsApp, we keep what you send so we can reply. A WhatsApp enquiry started from our site may carry a short reference code (for example BZ-7K3QF9) that tells us which page or advertisement it came from.
• Technical and security data — the IP address and time of sign-ins and account changes, kept in our security log, and a spam check on the registration form provided by Cloudflare Turnstile.

How We Use It

To calculate and deliver your chart, run your membership account, process subscriptions, send the emails you have asked for or that relate to your account, keep the site secure, and understand which pages and advertisements help people find our courses. We do not sell your personal data or share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Always on, because the site needs them: a sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in (up to 30 days; you can be signed in on two devices at a time), a short-lived form-security cookie, and a cookie that remembers your language (1 year).

Referral and advertising references: if you arrive through a member's referral link we store its code for 14 days so the referral can be credited, and if you arrive from one of our advertisements we keep the advertiser's click identifier for 90 days, under a random reference, so an enquiry can be matched to the advertisement that produced it. Neither is shared with anyone for their own use.

Only if you accept: Google Analytics (visitor statistics) and Google Ads (measuring and improving our advertisements, including showing our ads to people who have visited this site). Until you choose, and if you decline, these tools set no cookies; Google may still receive anonymous, cookie-free signals that it uses to estimate totals. You can change your choice at any time with the button below.

We also use Plausible, a privacy-focused analytics service that sets no cookies and does not identify you. Some practice tools keep your progress in your own browser's storage rather than on our servers.

Who Processes Data for Us

Stripe (payments), Resend (sending email, including whether a message was delivered or bounced), Railway (hosting, in its Singapore region), Cloudflare (spam protection), Google (analytics and advertising, only with your consent) and Plausible (cookie-free statistics). Some of these providers may process data outside Singapore; where they do, we rely on their contractual commitments to protect it to a standard comparable to the PDPA.

Charts You Save for Others

Members, including practitioners using our professional tools, can save birth details for family members or clients. When you do, you are responsible for telling that person and having their agreement, and for deleting their details when asked. We store those details only to calculate the charts for you, delete them when you delete the profile or your account, and do not contact the people concerned. If you believe your details were saved here without your agreement, contact us and we will help.

Data Retention

Account data, saved charts and your payment history are kept while your account is active. Chart requests from people who never opened an account are anonymised after 12 months without activity — the name, email and birth details are removed. When an account is deleted, its saved charts are deleted with it. Records we must keep for tax, accounting or security reasons are retained only as long as that purpose requires.

Your Choices and Rights

You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, withdraw your consent, or have it deleted. Marketing emails carry an unsubscribe link, and you can change your cookie choice above at any time. We will respond within a reasonable time; withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide some services, such as your account.
