What Is Seven Killings (七杀) in BaZi?

Seven Killings (七杀, abbreviated QS in Yixin Academy's system) is the element that controls your Day Master, in the same polarity. It is the most intense form of control energy in BaZi — direct, relentless, and uncompromising. QS is the source of both the greatest challenges and — when a chart is structured to handle it — the greatest power and achievement.

What Does QS Indicate in a BaZi Chart?

A chart with prominent QS is never a quiet life. QS represents pressure, competition, challenge, and the drive born from adversity. When the Day Master is strong enough to subdue the QS (a chart structure called 制杀), the result can be extraordinary leadership capacity, competitive dominance, and the ability to achieve under conditions that would break others.
